20 FACTOR Supported Artists Receive 48 CCMA Nominations!
Wednesday July 30, 2008 – Toronto, ON - The Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR) along with the Department of Canadian Heritage and Canada’s private radio broadcasters would like to congratulate the following 20 FACTOR supported artists on their 2008 Canadian Country Music Award (CCMA) nomination(s). The 20 artists listed below have been nominated for a total of 48 awards at this years’ CCMA’s being held in Winnipeg Manitoba on Monday September 8, 2008.

About FACTOR: FACTOR is a private non-profit organization, dedicated to providing financial assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian independent recording industry. Funding comes from two components of the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Canada Music fund and Canada’s Private Radio Broadcasters.
About the CCMA’s: The CCMA is a non profit trade association dedicated to the growth and development of Canadian country music. For 30 years the CCMA has marked each September with Country Music Week, a four day conference and celebration culminating in the broadcast CCMA Awards (established 1983). Country Music Week is one of the largest music events in Canada with a combination of activities for both community and industry including showcase opportunities for newcomers, educational seminars and an all day FanFest that delivers Canada’s stars to the community.
