FACTOR 101: Info Session for LGBTQ2 Artists

FACTOR will be holding a virtual information session on Thursday, May 6th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm ET.

The event is open to artists and entrepreneurs who self-identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Non-Binary, Intersex, Queer, Two-Spirit, Asexual, Genderqueer, including those who identify as part of the LGBTQ2 community, but use different terms or concepts to refer to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity and expression.

Join us to learn more about what kind of music funding is available at FACTOR, how the application process works, and advice and tips on applying! We will discuss our two juried programs, Artist Development and Juried Sound Recording, as well as some other funding programs. The second half of the event will consist of an open Q&A session. We will also be joined by guest artists T. Thomason and Ashley Au who will share their experience applying for FACTOR grants.

Please note that FACTOR does not have a specific program reserved exclusively for LGBTQ2 artists at this time; the objective of this session is to provide additional advice & support to succeed under current available programs, as well as to engage with LGBTQ2 communities to better serve their needs.
