Reporting to Meg Symsyk, President & CEO, Hardy will oversee the logistics of FACTOR’s operations across departments.
“Chris has extensive artist development and label experience, most recently at AWAL and The Orchard, and is ideally positioned to join FACTOR as we modernize our program performance for the coming demands of the Canadian-owned music sector,” remarked Symsyk in making this announcement.
“Working with independent artists and labels for the last decade , I have seen first-hand the impact FACTOR’s funding model has on business and careers locally and, just as importantly, internationally,” said Hardy. “Over my various tenures in the industry, among the constants is how Canada’s investment support to our cultural industries is envied around the world. I’m thrilled to join Meg and the FACTOR team in continuing this vital mandate.”
