Canadian Live Music Association Report
Today the Canadian Live Music Association releases Sound Check: Climate Risk and Resilience in Canada’s Live Music Sector – a national report built on the CLMA’s Climate Contingency survey, industry interviews, and climate projections through 2050.
Weather-related disruption to live music events in Canada has risen from an average of 8 reported incidents per year (2010–2022) to more than 65 per year (2023–2025), an eightfold increase.
Alongside the report, the first resources from the Climate Contingency Roadmap toolkit go live, giving live music professionals practical tools to plan for and respond to climate-related disruption.
