April 30-May 2 in Ottawa-Gatineau: Empowering Women in the Music Industry (EWIMI) – 6th Edition – Cultural Connectors

EWIMI6 is a three-day, multi-venue conference and showcase program featuring 17 events across nine venues, including 13 live and five DJ showcases. The program includes networking mixers, artist pitching, panels, workshops, mentorship, wellness sessions, museum tours, and nightly showcases.

EWIMI is a national and international gathering for women-identifying, non-binary, trans, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse artists and music professionals, while welcoming allies of all genders.

The 2026 theme, Cultural Connectors, highlights artists and cultural workers as bridges between communities and countries, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the global music ecosystem.

Presented by Axé WorldFest in partnership with the National Arts Centre, EWIMI connects industry leaders and emerging talent, prioritizing equity, access, and meaningful opportunities for underrepresented voices.
