Manitoba Music MFM Incubator, Info Session April 22
Call to Manitoba artists:
Are you planning to apply for Manitoba Film & Music’s Produce program? Manitoba Music is running a grant application incubator via MusicWorks and the Indigenous Music Development Program for beginner to intermediate artists and industry professionals in Manitoba who are working on a single, EP, or album for commercial release and plan to apply for MFM’s next rounds of program deadlines – May, September, or January.
Participants will be paired with experienced mentors to guide them through the application process over four weeks to submit the application to MFM. The incubator will cover:
- Identifying and gathering the necessary information to include in their funding application
- Evaluating their plan critically and making appropriate changes to strengthen their submission
- Reviewing examples of successful funding applications to better understand what funders are looking for
- A virtual tour of MFM’s new online funding application portal
This program will focus heavily on the marketing, project plans, appropriate funding levels, and sonic quality of the demo recordings being submitted and will only briefly cover business registration, application forms, and budget.
How to participate:
There are very limited spots for this opportunity that will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis with consideration of the criteria below.
Those hoping to participate are encouraged to apply early via the Google Form.
