2024-2025 Annual Report feature

Support from FACTOR through the Envelope program facilitated a marketing campaign for Mustafa’s 2024 album ‘Dunya’, which has received great critical acclaim and success since its September release.

Story

The album led to Mustafa winning two JUNO awards (for Songwriter and Video of the Year), and praise from important publications across the globe. He received multiple Spotify billboards and AmazonMusic billboards in Yonge-Dundas square, coverage from Pitchfork, The Star, Exclaim! and everything in between. DSPs like Spotify and Apple Music supported the album with Top-4 track position on 5+ high-rotation playlists and banner placement on their homepages for release week. Sonic Boom in Toronto had a large-scale window display, as did Montreal Sunrise locations.

The album received a Toronto Star feature, a CBC Music Feature, The Face Magazine Cover Feature, Kinfolk Magazine cover feature, and more. It was named Billboard Canada’s Album of the Week upon release, CBC’s #1 album of the year, received a 9/10 review from Exclaim! and was issued the cover spot and feature on Exclaim!’s Fall Issue – both in print and online. At the end of 2024, Mustafa was selected to be part of Spotify’s 2024 Wrapped campaign, issued a cover story with NME, and features with NPR and Pitchfork.
