Toronto Tabla Ensemble

FACTOR support played a significant role in the production, marketing, and music video shoot for Toronto Tabla Ensemble’s sixth album Bhumika.

Since the album’s release, the Ensemble’s music has been featured on radio stations across North America, Europe, and Australia including CBC Toronto and BBC Radio 3.

The Ensemble’s artistic director Ritesh Das won a Global Music Award for composing the album’s title track. The music video “Faceoff” has won awards at short film festivals across the world and has gained tens of thousands of views
across online platforms.

The video and song received an Independent Music Award for “Best Song World Traditional” in June 2019 in New York.

Leading up to and following Bhumika’s release, the Ensemble has performed the album’s pieces in concerts at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto and at the San Francisco Opera House.
