We Are Busy Bodies

We Are Busy Bodies celebrated its 20^th anniversary and 200^th label release in March of 2025 with a five-night music festival retrospective. As a label and music company, we’ve been fortunate to be able to champion the music and artists that we believe in on both a national and international level, essentially marching to our own beat while establishing new audiences.

Funding from FACTOR has allowed We Are Busy Bodies to further invest in the careers of the artists that we work with and allow us to support individualized plans representative of their careers.

We’ve achieved label firsts, including Rich Aucoin’s two year-over-year nominations for Electronic Album of the Year at the Juno Awards (2023-2024), to continuing to advance the presence of the label and artists in the United States, Europe and Japan with consistent media coverage, tours, and showcases.

From multi-page spreads in publications including The Wire, to at capacity showcases at the Reeperbahn Festival, our company takes great effort in investing in new markets to allow for our artists to develop both at home in Canada and abroad. FACTOR has played an outsized role in helping We Are Busy Bodies in accomplishing our objectives.
