Story
It has been an exciting year for Basia. She released her third album, Tall Tall Shadow. This FACTOR-funded album received great critical review and even saw Basia immortalized in a New Yorker illustration. She performed a Daniel Lanois song, Shine, on the occasion of the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards in Ottawa. She has toured Europe, US and Canada several times including headlining dates and also supporting Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and The Head and the Heart.
A personal highlight included a singing Graham Parsons’ song, Hickory Wind, live with Emmy Lou Harris at a summer festival. Tall Tall Shadow went on to receive a Juno nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year alongside Hayden, AC Newman, The Sadies and Ron Sexmsith.
