No doubt crafting songs and delivering performances that create connection, impart emotion, and bring joy is one of the greatest privileges of being a musician!

My fourth album, It Takes a Village is themed on the power of community to ‘light a path so everyone can find their way’. And what an appropriate theme, since it was only with the support of my producer, Mario Vaira, family, friends, fans, my talented project team, Creative BC, and FACTOR that these songs were able to find a home in the hearts of listeners.

I was so honoured that the album was nominated for a JUNO award and WCMA. It was also a pleasure to donate my first $1,000 from sales to Journey Home Community, a local non-profit refugee claimant organization that is committed to welcoming newcomers from unsafe or difficult situations.

The Canadian music tapestry is colourful and textured, and with the support of FACTOR, I cannot wait to see how more (independent) artists will grow, create, and impact the national and world music scene.
