Story

With support from FACTOR, Toronto-based artist Alex Porat released her EP crushed!, marking a pivotal moment in her rise as one of Canada’s most exciting pop voices. The project’s lead single “Face Like Yours” became a landmark radio success, landing as the 28th most played song of 2025 and the 7th most played Canadian song at Top 40 radio on the Mediabase Year End Chart, peaking at #9 Top 40 Audience, #10 Top 40 Spins, and #11 CHR/Top 40 Airplay on Billboard, spending 13 weeks inside the Top 15 and 4 weeks inside the Top 10.

Beyond radio, the campaign broke through culturally in a major way. Alex was featured on Spotify’s Women at Full Volume campaign, with her likeness displayed on billboards in both Sankofa Square and New York Times Square. “Face Like Yours” also earned a Spotify New Music Friday billboard placement, while Alex was spotlighted in Paper Magazine’s “Coolest Person in the Room” series and profiled in The Globe and Mail Style Magazine for a feature titled “The Surreal Rise of Alex Porat.”

On the road, Alex headlined a five-stop Canadian tour behind crushed! and supported Midnight Til Morning on a 11-stop North American run. Her track “Kissing You” was also featured as the highlight song in the Tubi film Kissing Is the Easy Part. In June 2026, she will headline Toronto Pride’s New Ho Queen event on the Wellesley Stage, a milestone moment that speaks to her growing profile as one of Canada’s most compelling new pop artists.
